David and Olivia met the old fashioned way - online. After matching "on the apps" in late March 2022, they exchanged very sporadic messages before Olivia invited David to a Sacramento River Cats game on April 7. He almost cancelled, but decided he could risk nine innings with an unknown woman for some great baseball and average beer. Luckily, they hit it off and have been attending baseball games, going on adventures, and working towards a strong future together ever since! They moved in together (and Stitch, Olivia's beloved French Bulldog) in May 2023 and are so excited to add more chapters - starting with a wedding - to their story.

Although "getting married" was something Olivia and David have talked about during their relationship, the engagement was a complete (and wonderful!) surprise. In June of 2024, the couple were in King's Beach, North Lake Tahoe for a day in the sun with David's immediate family. After a group photo, David dropped to one knee in the sand and asked Olivia to marry him. The matching swimsuits and matching smiles set the tone for the start of an exciting engagement prioritizing each other, fun, and staying true to themselves for the wedding planning process!
